The Pictorex Gallery is situated in the beautiful little village of Riebeek Kasteel, an hour's drive from Cape Town and
is dedicated to photography. It features the work of some of South Africa's top photographers and is also the home of the Pictorex Print Studio where all the prints featured in the Gallery are printed.
Heinrich van den Berg was the first photographer to win the Eric Hoskings Award of the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year for two consecutive years. He has also won the international Camel Trophy Photographic Competition, and was one of the official international photographers for the Camel Trophy in 1998. Additionally he was the overall winner of the international Fuji Getaway Photographer of the Year award in 2005. His photographs grace numerous books, calendars, magazine portfolios and photographic products worldwide.

Roger de la Harpe is a professional wildlife, conservation and travel photographer based in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. He has, together with his wife Pat, made frequent excursions into various regions of Africa in the pursuit of interesting stories and images.
His work has featured in numerous local and international publications, most notably Getaway, Africa Geographic, BBC Wildlife, German Geo and International Geo.
Roger and Pat have published 27 coffee table books, many of which are a celebration of nature and the environment. As part of their commitment to using their photographic and writing skills to greater affect, two of their latest books – In Search of the African Wild Dog and In Search of the African Lion – have a strong conservation emphasis. Their most recent book (published in conjunction with acclaimed author David Bristow), entitled African Icons, has just been released (2015) and is an inspiring collection of photographs and narratives of Africa’s iconic creatures and features.
They own and manage Africa Imagery, an online database of 45 000 images of the people, wildlife and landscapes of the African continent. They undertake commissioned photography in the tourism sector and run photographic safaris and workshops at selected destinations in southern Africa.

The gallery is a spacious, modern space with few distractions and is designed to enhance the viewing experience.
Pictorex Gallery is fitted with SoLux lighting, a patented light source that provides an unparalleled replication of natural daylight. SoLux is used by many of the world's top museums including the Musée d'Orsay, Van Gogh Museum, and Guggenheim Museum. SoLux lighting renders unmatched color consistency and quality.
An Independent evaluation of SoLux has recently been published. The results showed SoLux produced a daylight spectrum far superior to any competing daylight source.
The gallery lighting is a natural extension of the colour-managed concept which is the foundation of the Pictorex Print Studio.
